Makinde inaugurates mega plaza, promises to boost Oyo economy

Gov. Seyi Makinde of Oyo State says his administration is committed to boosting the growth and development of the state’s economy.

Makinde stated this on Monday in Ibadan at the inauguration of a multi-billion naira commercial centre built by Gastab, a private firm.

The governor said the economic policies and programmes of his government had started attracting investors to the state.

He promised that his administration would continue to initiate policies and programmes that would create an enabling environment for businesses to thrive in the state.

The Managing Director of Gastab, Alhaji Saheed Adigun, said the company has seven filling stations in Ibadan and 275 workers in the state, adding that he was committed to the creation of employment opportunities for the people.

Adigun, who commended Makinde for creating an enabling environment for investors, gave an assurance that he would continue to support the administration in its employment generation drive.
