Reps want NSITF mgt back

The House of Representatives on Thursday faulted the processes leading to the suspension of top management and Executive Committee members of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) and asked that they be reinstated immediately.

This form part of the recommendations of the adhoc Committee set up by the House to investigate the arbitrary breach of presidential directives on the suspension of top management and Executive Committee members of NSITF.

The report was tabled before the House at plenary by Chairman of the Committee, Hon Miriam Onuoha, but a member of the Committee Ifeanyi Momah objected to the submission of the report saying he only became aware that the report will be submitted that day.

However, members of the Committee said he was the only one out of the 16 members of the Committee who did not sign the report.
