The call for restructuring will soon end because President Muhammadu Buhari is already addressing issues that led to it, a Lagos lawmaker, Jude Idimogu, has said.
The lawmaker, who represents Oshodi/Isolo Constituency 2 at the Lagos State House of Assembly, said the various programmes being implemented by the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration would end the agitations.
He spoke when he paid a courtesy visit to Eze Igbo of Awori, Omenife Olikenyi.
Idimogu said: “When issues affecting the regions are attended to, and people begin to live in peace and unity, the clamour for restructuring would naturally cease. Nigerians must also learn to see themselves as one.”
Olikenyi said Idimogu was the only government official to have visited the area in over a decade, which showed that the House Committee on Wealth Creation and Employment chairman is a grassroots leader.
He urged Igbos in Lagos to support Idimogu.
