Human Rights Commission to establish court

The International Human Rights Commission (IHRC), Geneva, said it is making wide consultations and preparations towards the establishment of a Pan-African Human Rights Court in the continent.

Director/Ambassador, African Region of the International Human Rights Commission (IHRC) Geneva, Switzerland Dr Tivlumun Ahure, made this known to reporters when he led a delegation to visit the Katsina State Chief Judge, Justice Musa Abubakar in his office yesterday.

“Our primary functions cover human rights protection in the area of working to ensure that violation or abuses are observed, corrected and made public.”

“We frown on such abuses because anything fragrantly displayed against the non-constitutional provision and other declarations that make our countries to sink should be lifted in the court.”
