Lagos State Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate in the 2023 general elections, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, has launched a new mobile application called “Our Lagos” to provide economic opportunities and policy information to Lagos residents.

Rhodes-Vivour, who spoke during an event, which coincided with the second anniversary of the poll, said that the 2023 election was marred by allegations of voter suppression and violence in several parts of the state, with international and local observers documenting incidents that raised concerns about the entire process.

The application offers users access to grants, skills development programmes, job opportunities, and information about Rhodes-Vivour’s policy proposals for the state.

Rhodes-Vivour, while describing the initiative as “a practical tool to empower the people, who believe in a better Lagos,” added: “This is not about politics as usual.

“It’s about demonstrating a different approach to leadership – one centred on service, accountability, and genuinely improving lives.

“These grants aren’t handouts – they’re investments in your potential, in your dreams, and in our collective future.”
