Federal Capital Territory (FCT) security apparatus and assets are currently on red alert following planned protests by some aggrieved youth groups.

Commuters and civil servants found it difficult to access their offices following heavy blockades by police and the military.

Major institutions like CBN, and NNPC buildings in Abuja have been cordoned off by fierce-looking military men and police operatives.

The protest coincides with the grand finale of National Police Day to be held at Eagle Square Abuja.

The heavy security presence could not deter the protesters as they were sighted with placards around Transcorp Hilton, Maitama.
