The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has announced increased minimum capital requirements for all capital market operators (CMOs) to enhance market resilience and investor protection.

Under the new policy, tier 2 issuing houses with underwriting must now have a capital base of N7 billion, up from N200 million, while the requirement for trustees has increased to N2 billion, up from N300 million.
