President John Mahama has ordered a “full-scale” investigation into claims that officials are soliciting bribes from foreign scholarship recipients. The probe follows a radio panel discussion where the former CEO of National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme, Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, highlighted the alleged misconduct.
In its directive, the Presidency said it considers the matter a “grave public concern,” and has directed the National Investigation Bureau to investigate the claims and identify any officials involved in the scheme.
