Tanzania’s President Samia Suluhu Hassan and Kenya’s President William Ruto witnessed the signing of eight Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and bilateral agreements aimed at strengthening regional cooperation and advancing economic development between the two nations.

The agreements cover key sectors including railway development, agriculture, and maritime transport through the ports of Dar es Salaam and Mombasa. They also cover energy cooperation through a proposed natural gas pipeline, as well as security, trade standards, and public sector training.

The agreements were signed during high-level talks between the two leaders, indicating their shared commitment to deepen diplomatic and economic relations in order to accelerate progress in infrastructure, trade, and institutional cooperation.
