Zamfara State Governor Bello Matawalle has donated N10 million to victims of Yan katako market fire in Gusau.

Matawalle, who commiserated with the victims, urged them to consider the disaster as an act of God. “God knows why this happened. I urge you to consider it as a test from our creator, and I pray it serves as an open door to better things for you,” the governor said.

Chairman of that market association Ibrahim Ka-fi-lissafi thanked Matawalle for his kindness and urged him to continue with the good work. He promised they will always support his administration.

The governor has appointed former Deputy Inspector General of Police, Mamman Ibrahim Tsafe (rtd), as his honorary adviser on security.

Tsafe’s appointment was announced today by the Secretary to the State Government, Bala Maru.

The governor said Tsafe’s appointment followed his record service to Nigeria as a DIG of Police.
