Russia is not participating in the US-Iran negotiations but is ready to assist in achieving a peaceful solution, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.

He noted that Moscow hopes the negotiations will continue and that there will be no return to a violent scenario in the conflict.

According to the Kremlin spokesperson, a return to a violent scenario in the Middle East would have even worse consequences for the global economy and regional security.

He also added that Russia remains a responsible and very important player in global energy markets, and it is very difficult to ignore the volume of Russia’s energy resources.
