Kano State House of Assembly on Monday suspended five lawmakers for allegedly flouting the rules of the assembly.
The speaker Abdulazeez Gafasa, who announced their suspension during a plenary session, accused the lawmakers of leading the assembly to a needless rowdy session last Monday.
The lawmakers affected include three members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and two of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
The assembly on Monday, March 9 was in disarray over an attempt to remove the deposed Emir of Kano Muhammad Sanusi II.
